How to use Infrared Sauna Blanket
HOW TO USE infrared sauna blanket – if you’ve never heard of an infrared sauna blanket before, it’s likely you won’t know how to use it and will need to learn how. One of the benefits of an infrared sauna blanket (also referred to as a sauna wrap blanket, sauna detox blanket or hot blanket sauna) is that it’s phenomenally straightforward and easy-to-use!
Here, we’ll go through how to use the Sweat Blanket, our premium at-home infrared sauna blanket.
BEFORE USE: SET UP
Place the Sweat Blanket on a flat, heat-proof surface. We’d recommend a bed, on a massage table or on top of a yoga mat on the floor.
SH TIP: PLACE A PILLOW WHERE YOUR HEAD WILL REST, AND LAY A TOWEL OVER IT TO CATCH THE SWEAT. REMEMBER TO KEEP A CLOSED BOTTLE OF WATER NEARBY AND TO REHYDRATE!
The Sweat Blanket was designed to be experienced with a barrier between your body and the blanket. Place a towel inside the blanket underneath your body for additional comfort. This is important if you enjoy your sweat session on a higher temperature, so you don’t get too hot or cause any temporary heat marks.
DURING USE: SWEAT BLANKET & CONTROLLER
Connect the controller wire to the blanket socket, which is placed at the bottom of the blanket, and ensure they are connected securely. Connect the power cord to the main socket.
1. Press the power button to turn on the controller.
2. Adjust your desired temperature using the temperature buttons. The temperature of the Sweat Blanket ranges from 30-80 C°. We recommend starting your first session between 50-60 C° and working up from there in future sessions.
3. Adjust how long you want your session to last for by using the time buttons, which increases in increments of 5 minutes. We recommend your sweat session to be 45-55 minutes long, which is the ideal amount of time for the body to sweat.
4. Once you’ve selected your desired temperature and time, press A to start your sweat session.
DURING USE: ONCE YOU’VE GOT THE CONTROLLER ON
Wrap yourself in the Sweat Blanket (or ask someone to give you a hand if you need it!), securing the Velcro panels together. The Sweat Blanket will take around 10 minutes to reach full temperature and 2 minutes before you start feeling a little heat.
Sit back and enjoy your sweat session! Listen to a podcast, watch a TV show, play one of our Sweathouse playlists, meditate – this is your time to take it easy. If you need to exit the blanket at any point, it’s easy to do so by unfastening the Velcro panels.
SH TIP: IF YOU NEED TO STOP THE SESSION AT ANY TIME, PRESS A TO FINISH YOUR SESSION, FOLLOWED BY THE POWER BUTTON TO TURN OFF THE CONTROLLER IF YOU WISH.
When the timer reaches ‘0’, there will be a beep sound indicating that the sweat session is over and the heating has finished.
